Alternate Current is a well-appointed 2024 Elba 45 from Fountiane Pajot, a perfect combination of comfort and performance for an exceptional sailing experience. She is based at BVI Yacht Charters in Road Town, Tortola BVI. With over 25 years of experience the exceptional staff will guide you through the entire chartering process, ensuring you have everything you need for your sailing adventure.

4 Double Cabins each with their own separate head and shower
Each hull below deck mirrors the other, with double guest cabins located fore and aft. The spacious cabins include beds with gel mattress toppers, an en-suite head and separate shower for the ultimate in comfort and privacy.
The salon is bright, open and spacious. Visibility is excellent in all directions, thanks to oversized windows, with the center forward window opening outward to let in the breeze. Skylights overhead provide a clear view of the sails, and there is a low coffee table that slides open with ample storage. A large sliding door and sliding windows extends the living space into the cockpit, which includes a dining table and chaise lounge and there is a hot / cold showerhead on the port stern.
ABOVE DECKS
The Elba 45 offers an impressive array of outdoor spaces for both sailing and relaxing. She offers the largest flybridge in its class, great for enjoying a beautiful sail during the day or a sundowner at anchor. Grab some rays on the foredeck sun pads or relax with a good book. The deep cockpit features sofas and a sunbed, allowing you to choose where and how to enjoy your afternoon siesta, followed by grilled treats from the outdoor grill.

The Elba 45 is a stylish catamaran that allows the skipper to share the experiences with the crew, whether they are enjoying the views on the u-shaped seating of the lounge deck or relaxing in the cockpit. We have added additional options for both ease of sailing and fun for all aboard.

PERFORMANCE
The Elba 45 inverted bows, and a 13.45m waterline promises great average speeds while under sail. Powered by a pair of 60hp Volvo diesels with saildrives (50 hp is standard), the Elba has plenty of power to cruise comfortably when engine power is required. There is large 12” Garmin chart plotter at the helm, 10mm dyeenma main halyard for ease of raising and lowering the main sail, 5 house batteries and 1200 watts of solar power.
